| What's this Automotive Journalism MA course all about? |
|
Coventry University is the only institution in the world to offer a master's degree in automotive journalism. The course was set up at the urging of Steve Cropley, editor in chief of Autocar, who felt that there should be a way of training to become a motoring journalist rather than falling into by accident - like most motoring journos seem to do. The first two students were taken on in 2004. One of them, Jon Quirk, secured a job with Autocar in 2005. Since then the course has had a good record of finding jobs for its graduates. The course takes one year of full-time study or two years part-time. In 2006 the university appointed a specialist automotive journalism lecturer - me. For more information on the course see the automotive journalism section of the Coventry University website and guidance on how to apply. |
