| Coventry University appoints automotive journalism lecturer |

Freelance motoring writer Andrew Noakes takes up the role of Senior Lecturer in Automotive Journalism at Coventry University's School of Art and Design on September 1. Andrew will work with students on the University's postgraduate course in automotive journalism, and will also teach more general journalism subjects at undegraduate and postgraduate levels. After training as an automotive engineer at Loughborough University, Andrew Noakes became a freelance writer and editor. He founded Classics magazine in 1997, eventually becoming the magazine’s Editor in Chief before returning to freelancing in 2002. Since then he has contributed to numerous motoring magazines and websites, including Classic & Sports Car, CAR, Auto Express, Classics Monthly, Classic Car Weekly and PistonHeads.com, and has written books on several classic marques. Andrew will continue to work as a freelance motoring writer alongside his Coventry commitments. [Ends] |
